Based on the Atlantic 21
concept the first two boats were funded by an appeal by Lord
Mountbatten, through the Romsey trust in 1979. After his assasination
later in the year by the IRA. A third boat was bought via RNLI funds.
The project was dropped after three boats had been built.

Midlothian by 2016 as workboat Discovery. |
